Broad Technical Foundation + Passion for Learning
- Eager to make a greater impact. Technical writing and communication has been a passion of mine throughout my career, and I’ve repeatedly sought opportunities to contribute in this area. My educational background is partly in Anthropology, and my continued interest in Linguistic Anthropology has prompted me to examine why people misunderstand or misinterpret information. This, in turn, has informed my own process for successfully conveying technical information to any audience.
- Technical knowledge pursuit. I suppose if I had to choose one aspect of this industry I love the most, it would be its ever-evolving nature. A career in I.T. demands that one stay ahead of the curve, to learn new methods and keep up with the latest tools and technical advancements. To this end, I’ve shown a steady commitment to professional development so that I might enhance my value to my company. Through the years I have gained a working knowledge of user documentation, web development and user-interface design, object-oriented programming and theory, data modeling, and free open source software.
- Relationship builder. I find it satisfying being a catalyst for a job well done and witnessing the tangible results of teamwork, and I’ve come to understand the significance of the human element in the delivery of quality. Throughout my professional experience, a common thread has been my steadfast dedication to my company and clients, a willingness to work extremely hard, and a commitment to assume an owner’ s interest in everything I do.
